Some decades ago, as I started my secretarial education, it was 1978, my biggest challenges among getting good organisational and language skills were perfect commands of shorthand and mechanical/electrical typewriters.
As I started working as a secretary in the early 80s, three languages had become essential and personal computers started their move into back offices. In the 90s the PC gained definitely its place on each office desk, and the role of the secretary moved on to an assisting position for one or several bosses. Shorthand nearly disappeared, organisation and coordination tasks became more and more important.
Major companies are now operating worldwide, workforces are moving all around the world. Diversity has to be managed properly to cope with cultural and ethnic differences in working teams, standardized global company ethics and politics guarantee compliance accurancy on all business levels, and Executives are more under pressure then ever.
As a result, everything is getting more demanding for the Executive Assistants: keeping creatively the perfect overview, planning the bestever unforgettable executive team event, getting that crucially needed information to be found nowhere, representing with perfect outfit and appearance at any business opportunity, managing conflicts and giving selfish support for the own boss and/or team members, and ever... keep smiling :-)!
Learn in our Conference "Moving forward in a fast changing world" how to manage these encounters and enjoy taking new challenges and opportunities in your daily work, now and in the future!
I am looking forward to welcoming you in Zurich! Uf Widerluege in Züri!
